The Republican scientific-educational expedition “The Road to Sacred Places” dedicated to the XXth Day of the Belarusian Written Language leaves from Minsk on August 28. The information was provided at the Ministry of Information.
The expedition with the Holy Sepulcher’s Divine Fire will follow the route Minsk – Svyatoe Pole near Zagorie village – Stolovichi village (Brest regioin) – Stolbtsy town, Mikhanovichi (Minsk region) – Krugloe township, Dribin town – Ryasno village – Chaussy town, Gamarnya village, and Barkolabovo village. On September 1 the expedition arrives to Bykhov hosting the Day of the Belarusan Written Language.
As usual, the festival programme will be abundant in various activities, including new book presentations, exhibitions and creative meetings, theatrical performances & expositions, concerts, etc. There will be the concert in which all towns & cities having hosted the festivals of the Day of the Belarusian Written Language will partake. Among the latter are Polotsk, Turov, Novogrudok, Nesvizh, Orsha, Pinsk, Zaslavl, Mstislavl, Mir, Kamenets, Postavy, Shklov, Borisov, Smorgon, Khoiniki, Gantsevichi, Glubokoe.
The writers having won the Republican contest for the best literary work will be awarded during the opening ceremony.
The festival is coordinated by The Ministry of Information, The Ministry of Culture, The Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Sports and Tourism, Religions and Nationalities Authorized Representative.
