Fifty-eight district election committees for regional Deputies' Council elections of the XXVIIth convocation were formed in Mogilev region. The decision of the joint session of the presidium of the regional Deputies' Council and Mogilev region executive committee was summed up by the head of human resources department of Mogilev region executive committee Alexander Sivaev.
All in all 758 protocols and nomination applications had been sent to the presidium of the regional Deputies' Council. Finally, composition of the committees was approved, each one consisting of eleven members. The number of people engaged is 638.
254 of them (39.8%) represent political parties and other public organisations. Eighteen members representing political parties are the members of the Communist Party of Belarus and the Republican Party of Labour and Justice. Trade unions' association is the leader among public organisations - it's represented by 67 members; 58 members are from "Belaya Rus", 35 members - from the Belarusian Veterans' Public Union, and 34 members represent the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
135 representatives of work collectives (out of 157 applicants suggested) were included into election committees; they make up 21.2% of the total number. 249 members were chosen from the 307 applications having been sent by citizens; they make up 39%.
"No judges, prosecutors, heads of local executive or regulatory authorities were included into the committees", Alexander Sivaev stressed. "Civil servants make up less than a third of all committeemen. The major criteria considered were applicants' business proficiency and partaking in the previous election campaigns".
