Deputy head of personal and vocational training department of the customs house Ella Chernova told about the efficiency of work of the law-enforcement department of Mogilev customs house in 2009.
During the year budget receipts have increased due to effective work of the departments that monitor customs law observance. 800 cases of administrative crimes were started (compared to 764 cases in 2008). As a result, arrest was put on property of lawbreakers that cost BYR 2 bln in total (i.e. 22% increase compared to the previous year).
According to court decisions, goods that cost BYR 1 bln in total were expropriated, fines were imposed for BYR 360 mln (i.e. 52% increase compared to the year 2008).
At present, law-enforcement department of Mogilev customs house works to promote development and unification of legislation under the terms of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan Customs Union.
