All precinct election commissions for the presidential elections in Belarus were formed by November 3, - the correspondent of the site was told by the secretary of the regional committee Ludmila Makarenko.
There are 818 election commissions consisting of 9286 people in the region; 4154 (44.7%) of them were chosen according to their applications, 1828 members (19.7%) were suggested by labour collectives, and 3304 members (35.6%) were suggested by political parties and other public associations. 362 members (3.9%) are civil servants, 987 members (10.6%) are under 30 years old, and 6710 members are women.
The list of presidential contenders will have been determined by November 23. Now election commissions continue checking authenticity of signatures gathered by 11 potential candidates. The work is to have been done by November 8; after that data and information about amount of signatures will be sent to regional commissions and Minsk city commission, and then – to the Central Election Commission.
