About 100 hand-made towels of Mogilev Podneprovie exhibited in Mogilev

About 100 hand-made towels (called “rushniki”) of Mogilev Podneprovie are exhibited at Mogilev Museum of Ethnography. The exhibition is held within the frameworks of the two-day Republican Scientific-Practical Conference “Archaeology, ethnography, and history of Mogilev region and Upper Podneprovie”, - the head of the branch of Mogilev Regional Museum of Local Lore Svetlana Rybakova, tells.

One of the three sections of the conference – “Ethnographic cloths of Podneprovie” – is dedicated to the hand-made towels exhibited; the latter are taken from museum funds as well as have been restored and reconstructed by local craftsmen of different districts of Mogilev region.
