The administration of Mogilev Region is satisfied with the region's economic performance in 2007, Vice Governor Vladimir Kravtsov told a news conference.
According to the source, in January-November 2007 the region's industrial output grew 12.8%, consumer goods output expanded by 9.5%, agricultural output - 5.5%, retail trade turnover - 13.4%, and the sales of for-fee services increased by 11.8%.
Over the period in question the region invested over BYR 2.1 trillion in the economy and social sector. Mogilev Region commissioned 359,000 square metres of housing in January-November, including 165,000 in rural areas, the source added.
Over the period in question Mogilev Region invested over BYR 1.7 trillion in the development of rural areas within the framework of the national Rural Revival Program.
