Mogilev region got 100 new high energy harvester combines KZS – 1218 by leasing. Today Petr Rudnik, the governor of Mogilev region, presented some certificates for new machinery to heads of Mogilev region’s agribusiness organizations.
«In Petr Rudnik’s words, the President's message to the people focuses on 3 aspects that are of great importance to the economy of the country. They are modernization of the country’s economy, informatization of the society, and support to the youth. New harvester combines are a part of the modernization.
According to the governor, last year’s harvesting campaign employed 1,600 harvester combines, 300 of them were of low capacity. ”We have five years to get away from old machinery and introduce modern equipment corresponding to call of the times. We should upgrade volumes and bring the number of new machinery up to 1800. Low capacity equipment will not retire. It will be used on plots of land adjoining country houses,” – Petr Rudnik says.
It is important that the new machinery was produced in Belarus. Spare parts can be bought in the country without any need to spend foreign currency. New equipment will make it possible to carry out the high quality harvesting campaign quickly. The region is to harvest 450,000 hectares: 360,000 hectares – crops and leguminous plants, 75,000 – rape, 22,000 – perennial grass seeds. The region’s target is to exceed last year’s results and to harvest 1 m 400 thousand tons.
By the way, the region’s grass harvesting campaign is in full swing. According to the local agriculture department, the region has harvested almost 37 thousand hectares (27% to the target). Chausy, Bobruisk and Klimovichi districts are the leaders of the campaign.
Favourable weather conditions and efficient performance of the task contribute to work ahead of schedule. The region has stored hay 62% to the target and haylage – 87%.
