May, 14 Alena Lanskaya from Belarus takes part in the second stage of the first semifinal “Eurovision - 2013”. These are the results of the draw ceremony that was held in Malmö on January, 17. The information is provided by the BelteleradioCompany.
Representatives of 39 countries will participate in the 58th International Song Contest “Eurovision - 2013” in Sweden.
The first semifinal of the contest will start with a singer from Denmark and finish with the performance of Moldova’s representative. The participants and voters of the first semifinal are Croatia, Ukraine, Holland, Austria, Slovenia, Estonia, Russia, Lithuania, Serbia, Ireland, Cyprus, Montenegro, Belgium.
May, 16 Lithuania’s singer opens the second semifinal. The participant from Romania finishes it. The second semifinal includes 17 competitors. The final is on May, 18.The G5 countries (Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and Great Britain) and Sweden, the organizer of the contest, enter the final automatically. These counties will broadcast semifinals and vote for the competitors. Italy, Sweden and Great Britain will vote in the first semifinal; Germany, France and Spain – the second one.
March holds the meeting of heads of participant-countries. Producers of the show will define the order of the competitors to perform. Only then we will know the number Alena Lanskaya performs under on May, 14.
This year the organizers of the festival rejected a traditional draw ceremony. They themselves will define the number of the participants in order to exclude two lyric performances in a row.
