September, 13-16 Mogilev holds the XIII International Animated Films Festival “Animayovka-2010”. The information is provided by “Kinovideoprokat” Company.
July, 22 the expert jury held a session. Animators from 19 countries presented 120 cartoons to participate in the contest program. 50 animated films were chosen by arts experts and Mass Media representatives.
The contest has five nominations: the best animated film, the best experimental film, the best film for kids, the best professional, and viewers’ prize.
The festival’s geography has widened. This year it will welcome the films from Bashkortostan and Italy. Lithuanian animators made a record. The country will be represented by over 20 films. Georgian animators will introduce a new project “World’s Fairy Tales”. Animators from Hungary impressed the jury by deep social satire. “Belarusfilm” presented a lot of creative projects as well.
The Animated Films Festival is held every year to popularize the best animated foreign and domestic works, to present viewers with the latest films, to strengthen culture relations between Belarus and countries which take part in the festival.
