Belarusian agriculture produced BYR 15.564 trillion worth of goods in January-August 2008, or 7.4% up on the year, Interfax-West learnt from the Ministry of Statistics and Analysis.
At the same time, the output of private farms shrank by 4%.
As of September 1, Belarusian farms threshed 8.65 million tonnes of grain (25.8% up).
The output of meat and poultry totaled 670,400 tonnes (5.5% up). Milk production volume grew 8.8% (3.6 million tonnes), and the output of eggs increased by 5.2% (1.454 billion).
