Belarusian Cement Plant (BCP, the town of Kostyukovichi, Mogilev Region) sold 977,000 tonnes of cement on the domestic market in 2008, or 20% up on the year, a company representative told Interfax. Over the period in question the company produced 1.04 million tonnes of cement (11.1% up on the year), the source added.
The output of cement packed in sacks (25, 50, 1,000 kg) made 158,300 tonness (9.8% up), the source specified.
The Klimovichi branch of the enterprise produced 102 thousand tonnes of lime. All lime is sold on the domestic market, the source reminded.
Cement accounted for 94% of the plant's output.
Last year the company exported 54,200 tonnes of cement to Russia.
As of January 1, 2009, the stock of ready goods made 21.2% of the average monthly output, the limit being 45%.
In monetary terms the company turned out BYR 171 billion worth of goods (21% up) in 2008.
Investments in upgrading totaled BYR 28.1 billion.
The Belarusian Cement Plant was set up in 1996. The staff counts 1,500 persons.
