Belarusian Cement Plant (BCP, the town of Kostyukovichi, Mogilev Region) increased the output of cement by 16.4% in January-June 2008 to a total of 510,400 tonnes, a company representative told Interfax.
The output of cement packed in sacks (25, 50, 1,000 kg) made 86,800 tonness (21.2% up), the source specified.
Over the period in question the company exported 4 thousand tonnes of cement to Russia, the source added.
The Klimovichi branch of the enterprise produced 50.5 thousand tonnes of lime. All lime is sold on the domestic market, the source reminded.
Domestic sales of the BCP grew 33% on the year. Besides, the company exported 13,000 tonnes of cement to the Russian Federation.
In January-June 2008 the plant produced BYR 111.2 billion worth of goods, or 21% up on the year. Investments in upgrading totaled BYR 6.7 billion.
The Belarusian Cement Plant was set up in 1996. The staff counts 1,500 persons.
