Belshina OJSC has opened a trade house in Ghana, a company representative told Interfax.
The company founded a joint venture called Belshina (Africa) Tire Solutions Limited together with the local Rana Motors Metal Works Eng. Co. Ltd. The latter became the sole distributor of Belshina's tires in North and West Africa.
Director of Belshina Dmitry Katerinich attended the opening ceremony, the source reported.
The new outlet in Ghana is Belshina's second trade centre in Africa. The first one is located in South Africa.
Belshina OJSC is one of Europe's largest producers of tyres. It makes over 200 models of tyres for all kinds of vehicles. The company also makes non-standard equipment and spare parts.
Belshina's produce is compliant with national ISO 9001-36 and German DIN EN ISO 9001-94 quality systems.
Over 90% of the company's tyres are radial-type. The design and construction of all kinds of tyres produced by Belshina is patent-protected.
60% of the company's output is exported to 58 countries in the CIS, the EU, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, North America and Latin America.
The major Belarusian consumers of the company are BelAZ, MAZ, MTZ, MZKT, Gomselmash and Amkodor.
