Belshina OJSC increased exports by 27.9% on the year in January-September 2008, a company representative told Interfax-West.
The total value of exported commodities exceeded $410 million. Over the period in question the company exported 2.9 million tyres, including 2.3 million car tyres ($66.34 million), 460,000 truck tyres ($304.45 million) and 107,000 agricultural tyres ($39 million).
Over 97% of the company's exports in physical terms and 66.5% in monetary terms fall on the CIS (including Russia), the source informed. Russia accounts for 66% of Belshina's CIS-bounded exports.
In January-September Belshina exported $137.3 million worth of goods to non-CIS states (27.9% up), including $116.8 million worth of truck tyres.
Belshina OJSC is one of Europe's largest producers of tyres. It makes over 200 models of tyres for all kinds of vehicles. The company also makes non-standard equipment and spare parts.
Belshina's produce is compliant with national ISO 9001-36 and German DIN EN ISO 9001-94 quality systems.
Over 90% of the company's tyres are radial-type. The design and construction of all kinds of tyres produced by Belshina is patent-protected.
60% of the company's output is exported to 57 countries in the CIS, the EU, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, North America and Latin America.
The major Belarusian consumers of the company are BelAZ, MAZ, MTZ, MZKT, Gomselmash and Amkodor.
