The best accordion players of Mogilev region will perform at "Kupalle" festival that Alexandria agritownship (Shklov district) will host on July 5-6 for the the fifth time. The information was provided by the head of ideology, culture and youth department of Mogilev region executive committee Anatoly Sinkovets.
According to the source, there will be a special programme "Igrai, Garmon Mogilevshchiny" ("Let Mogilev's accordions Play") with the participation of Gennady Zavolokin's centre "Igrai, Garmon" ("Let My Accordion Play") and L. Ivanov's folk orchestra of Mogilev philharmonic society.
There will also be lots of songs, music performances, various projects and programmes, Anatoly Sinkovets added. "The Great Alexandria Fair" will be one of the events to open the festival on July 5. It will be a symbolic meeting of three fairs - those of Alexandria (Belarus), Sorochino (Ukraine), and Nizhni Novgorod (Russia). The festival's guests will enjoy livestock exhibition "Syalyanskae Padvorie", with its geese and pig racings.
The agenda of the festival also includes wooden sculpture and ceramics plein airs, the contest of Belarusian potatoes, handicrafts fair and malls. One of innovations of this year's festival will be a creative ground of the international music and sports event "Great Bard Fishing" and their programme "Nadezdy Malenki Orchestr". Its guests will enjoy original guitar poetry, try fish broth and other tourist dishes, attend master-classes in message and take a steam bath at mobile bath-houses.
Gala concert with the participation of famous artists of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine "The Dnieper - the River of Friendship" will become the culmination of the festival. Nadezhda Babkina and "Russian Song" ensemble, «Ivanushki International», the best accordion players of Mogilev region, the winner of "Golos" TV-contest (held by "ORT", Russia) Sergei Volchkov, the participant of "Eurovision Song Contest - 2009" Anastasia Prikhodko are just some of the participants of the concert. "Pesnyary" and "Khoroshki" ensembles, Iskui Abalyan, Victoria Aleshko, Sasha Nemo, Gunesh, as well as Belarus' Honoured Artists Nikolai Skorikov, Inna Afanasieva, and Irina Dorofeeva will also be on the stage. The festival will finish with fireworks, that will be followed by the discotheque held at the small stage with the participation of "Ivanushki International" and Katya Volkova, contestant of "I want to VIAgra" show.
