A biofuel plant will be commissioned in Mogilev Region in November 2008, Prime Minister Sergei Sidorski said during a visit to Bobruisk Oil Crops Procession Plant.
The plant will be commissioned on the premises of Bobruisk Oil Crops Procession Plant.
The new plant is expected to annually make 5,000 tonnes of biofuel, which will enable the region to save from BYR 200,000 to BYR 300,000 per one tonne of Diesel fuel consumed. Eventually, this will enable Belarus to cut the import of raw oil , taking into account the fact that the country annually consumes 2 million tonnes of Diesel fuel.
A similar biofuel plant has already been commissioned on the premises of Grodno-based Azot association.
The cost of the project is BYR 14.1 billion, the premier specified.
