Bobruisk Meat-Packing Plant is determined to finish its sausage workshop retooling project in 2007, a company representative told Interfax.
The retooling project is intended to diversify meat production, introduce new meat processing technologies coupled with imported production facilities.
Last year they tied in BYR 500 million in project development with another BYR 2.1 billion to be invested in 2007.
In January-March 2007 the company boosted output 53.5% to BYR 12 billion, while meat exports grew 78% to $1.2 million.
The company channels its exports to Russia’s Moscow and St Petersburg.
All meat products by the Bobruisk-based company comply with Russia’s GOST ISO 9001-2001 standards.
At present, the company produces on a daily basis 25 tonnes of meat, 18 tonnes of sausages, 3.5 tonnes of pre-fab meat products.
The enterprise uses traditional Belarusian recipes, with no meat substitutes and colorants.
Bobruisk Meat-Packing Plant was founded in 1931 to go private in 2007.
The company employs a 700-strong staff.
