A memorial to Holocaust victims has been unveiled in Bobruisk, Interfax-West learnt from Bobruisk Administration.
The memorial honors the memory of Bobruisk ghetto prisoners. During WWII fascists killed thousands of local residents there, mostly women and children.
According to the source, the initiative to install a memorial in Bobruisk came from a local Jewish community. The memorial was erected on the side of a busy highway.
The Holocaust memorial was designed by architect Galina Levina and sculptor Maxim Petrul.
