Bobruiskagromash OJSC (Mogilev Region), one of Belarus' leading producers of farming machinery, has started to make trailer mowers at the joint venture located in Russia's Barnaul (Altai Region), vice chief of the company's marketing department Vasily Tsarik told Interfax.
The source reminded, that the joint venture already manufactures pickup balers. The enterprise is expected to further expand product range. In particular, next year it will launch dump truck semitrailers.
According to the source, Altai Region is Russia's leading importer of Bobruiskagromash machines.
In January-September 2007 the company doubled exports to the Russian Federation, Exports of spare parts rose 5-fol, and the range of exported products expanded by 50%.
The source attributes the growth to the expansion of the company's dealership network in Russia and establishment of joint ventures (in Barnaul, Yaroslavl, Balakhna and Sheksna). Besides, last year there opened Bobruiskagromash assemblages in Tymen and Krasnodar regions.
Bobruiskagromash was founded in 1974. Currently, it produces over 40 kinds of agricultural machines and aggregates for land cultivation and fodder processing.
The company also produces consumer goods, including car trailers, furniture accessories, school furniture, boilers.
The company employs around 2,500 people.
