The deal was inked at AgriTech Fair ‘2008 in Kazakhstan’s Almaty, where Bobruiskagromash presented the full lineup of farming machinery. During the fair they also signed a few contracts to supply Belarusian-made equipment to Kazakhstan.
Taking part in fairs like AgriTech is expected to enable Bobruiskagromash to expand its presence on the Kazakhstan market twofold in 2008-2009.
The company representative also informed that in 2007 Bobruiskagromash exported to Kazakhstan $3.5 million worth of machinery, which was a sevenfold increase on the year.
According to the source, Kazakhstan is the third largest importer of Bobruiskagromash machinery. Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan purchase 90% of farming machinery made by Bobruiskagromash.
