Bulgarian company Bulmat is planning to buy and upgrade a Mogilev-based winery. According to Executive Director of Bulmat Nikolai Minchev, who visited Mogilev City Hall on Thursday, after a comprehensive modernization the winery will produce high-quality Bulgarian wines.
The Bulgarian company is going to invest EUR 1.5 million in the project. Currently Bulmat is carrying out a similar project in Russia's Ulyanovsk Region.
According to the foreign trade department of Mogilev City Hall, in 2007 the trade turnover between Mogilev and Bulgaria totaled $1.2 million (5.5% up on the year). In January-July 2008 the bilateral trade turnover shrank by 34.6% down to $0.5 million.
