Karbonis Plus company based in Chausy District is going to set up a production facility that will put out 60 tonnes of charcoal per month, head of the Business Department of Mogilev Region Administration Viktor Krasovski told Interfax.
In his words, the facility is being built on the premises of the former asphalt and concrete plant within the framework of the regional town development program.
The would-be plant is expected to produce a pilot lot of charcoal later in August, the source reported. Most of the plant's output will be exported.
Initially the plant will be operated by 28 workers. Later the staff of the enterprise will be expanded.
The source reminded that the regional town development program for 2007-2010 stipulates 207 investment projects, including 25 that involve setting up new production facilities. 192 projects are expected to be launched this year.
