Mogilev Region’s Chaussy-based Butter & Cheese Factory is set to launch a dry whey facility in Q1 2009, a company representative told Interfax-West.
The dry whey endeavour has been a radically new move for the company, which invested BYR 30 million in the new facility.
After they have installed the equipment, the company plans to start producing dry whey in Q2 – at 350-400 kilos per hour, staff working in three shifts.
Chaussy Butter & Cheese Factory produces around 50 varieties of dairy products, including cheese, cottage cheese, butter, casein and lactose.
The enterprise exports its products to Russia, Ukraine and the Baltic States.
Established 1973, employs a 180-strong staff.
