Collection of signatures for nominating presidential contender that was started on September 30, is carried out in quiet atmosphere in Mogilev region, - Valery Berestov, the chairman of President election committee of Mogilev region, told. So far no complaints have been made. The number of places for pickets was increased considerably comparing to the previous election campaign; they are situated in all districts of the regional centre and the region itself.
Restrictions for collecting signatures are minimal, Valery Berestov assured. “According to the law, pickets are forbidden to be held at the railway and public transport, water and energy supply institutions, hospitals, polyclinics, nursery and secondary schools, and closer than 50 meters to representative, executive and administrative bodies, courts, prosecution offices, military establishments. The respective decisions of district and city / town executive committees were published in local mass media and on-line”.
17 groups of assentors were registered at the beginning of the campaign. Presidential elections will be held on December 19, 2010. So far there are 16 presidential contenders.
