A dead body of the European bison was found in Osipovichi district

A dead body of the European bison of almost 1 ton weight was found in Osipovichi district. The European bison is registered in the Red Book of Belarus. The dead bison was found by Kovgary village. The information is provided by Mogilev regional inspection of fauna and flora protection.

A bullet wound in the bison’s body proved that the animal was killed. According to preliminary considerations, the bison was killed about a week ago.
On the scene of an accident the investigation is carried out by the operative group of Osipovichi internal affairs office and representatives of Osipovichi district investigation committee.
