Fandok OJSC is going to build a small heat power that will burn waste wood, a company representative told Interfax.
The plant will enable the company to annually save over 13,000 tonnes of equivalent fuel, the source specified.
The estimated cost of the project is BYR 23 billion.
Fandok OJSC was founded in 1994. It is one of the largest wood-working company companies in Belarus. Fandok produces plywood, doors, furniture, blockboards, etc.
The company monthly makes BYR 4 billion worth of goods. In January-April 2008 Fandok's exports totaled $4 million, a double rise on the year.
Fandok exports plywood and furniture to Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Germany, Italy, Austria, France, Sweden.
