In the first quarter 2016 Mogilev region increased goods delivery to Egypt, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy. The information is provided by Victor Nekrashevich, deputy head of Mogilev regional executive committee. At the sitting devoted to the questions of social and economic development of the region.
In his words, Mogilev region takes a number of steps to diversify its export. In result, the region’s export geography has expanded to seven more countries including Egypt, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy and others.
Victor Nekrashevich gave some significant statistics. Wood-particle boards made $1,6 m increase, meat - $1,9 m, butter - $200 thousand. The year’s target to increase the export by entering new markets was hit over 2 months. The region fixes trade surplus of the external trade.
Deputy head of the regional authorities mentioned the fact of 762 jobs created by 594 new enterprises.
In his words, high productive machinery is replacing human labour. This fact should be taken into account since it will influence the human labour market in future. The target for today is to create new jobs in order to slow down unemployment and improve people’s wellbeing.
Victor Nekrashevich pointed out the necessity to be efficient, to find perspective areas. It is important for constructors, clothes and footwear producers. The management of the region’s companies should work out measures to maintain a cash position of their companies through cutting their expenses, avoiding salary debts.
