Five-year old Yana Kovaleva from Bykhov won a special diploma at the International Contest "We Defend the Peace"

A five-year old painter from Bykhov (Mogilev region) - Yana Kovaleva - got a special diploma at the International Children Art Contest "We Defend the Peace". The information is provided by Andrei Shubaderov, the chief of the Military Information Agency "Vayar".

A special diploma and a toy were presented to a girl by the Minister of Defense of Belarus Leonid Maltsev at the award ceremony. It took place in Minsk at the National Final of World Cyber Games (WCG).

This creative contest has three nominations - "Best Painting", "Photo", and "Letter to a Soldier". The Ministry of Defense holds it for the third time. During the year children mail their best paintings, letters and photos to the site of the Ministry of Defense - "For Children about the Army". Over 100 participants aged from 5 till 18 from all parts of Belarus and the CIS have represented their works this year. The works are united by the theme of the Great Patriotic War and the 65th anniversary of Belarus liberation from Fascists invaders.
