A foreign company called Staraya Krepost has launched premium juice production in co-operation with Prigat International Limited, a company representative told Interfax.
According to Executive Director of Detroit Belarus Juice Company Andrei Kurochkin, Prigat is a premium juice that will successfully compete with Russian and Ukrainian analogues.
Currently the company makes 6 kinds of Prigat juices. They are sold in 1-litre Tetra Prism pack.
Staraya Krepost has been making Sochny Frukt juices since April 2008, the source reminded. These juices are sold in 1-litre and 2-litre Tetra Brik packs at a medium price.
Staraya Krepost FV was established in November 2006. The company belongs to Detroit Belarus Juice Company which was founded by Detroit Investments group and the International Finance Corporation.
The company is expected to annually make 70 million litres of juices. By the end of 2008 it is expected to win 15% of the Belarusian juice market.
Prigat International Limited is one of the largest producers of natural juices in Israel with a 48% market share. Prigat juices are sold in 15 countries of Europe, Asia and Africa.
