The former boys’ gymnasium in Mstislavl to reconstruct into a museum amd education centre

The former boys’ gymnasium in Mstislavl is going to be reconstructed into a museum amd education centre. The information is provided by Igor Savitsky, a chief specialist of the architecture and construction department of Mstislavl district executive committee, chief architect of the dictrict.

 According to Igor Savitsky, spacialists have got all necessary documents to restore the architecture monument. The building will get the history and archeology museum which is now located in a small premises unable to present 12.000 exhibits. There are plans to open the halls referring the Great Patriotic War, the USSR history, folk customs.

The centre will also site two libraries. At the moment they are located in technically appropriate but aesthetically old-fashioned premises.

The first floor of the gymnasium will get a children’s art centre which will offer interest societies to suit different tastes. A concert hall and a technically equipped stage will finalize the look of the centre.

Expenses will make Br100 bl. By now there is no necessary budget. Within Mstislavl’s preparations for “Dozhinki” Festival the roof and façade of the building will be renovated. The reconstruction works will continue in the near future.
