For 4 days Klimovichi was the Planet of Childhood. The 9th International Festival of children's creative work "Golden Bee" took place here. The festival was dedicated to the International Day of Child Protection. The event was held on May,28-31 and included a great variety of activities. Participants took part in different contests and concerts, the asphalt and easel drawing contests "My Native Land", the confectionary contest "Sweet Fantasies". There also was an exhibition-sale of children's art works. It was held under the name "Wonder Store".
The final day of the festival included a festive parade and a gala-concert. According to the Minister of Culture of the Republicof Belarus Vladimir Matveichuk, the International Festival of children's creative work "Golden Bee" is one of 60 children's festivals that are held in the republic. "The festival reveals talented children from different countries, who then represent their art at various contests. We are to support and develop the festivals of such a kind."
The 9th International Festival of children's creative work "Golden Bee" gathered 1150 participants from 11 countries - Belarus, Russia, Latvia, Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Bulgaria. In 2008 800 participants came to the festival, - Anatoly Sinkovets, the head of the Culture Office of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee, informs. Today 80% of the participants are from foreign countries.
