The Free Economic Zone “Mogilev” represents two investment projects at the Belarusian Investment Forum in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). The investment projects to be presented are “Import-substituting production of children’s napkins”, “Construction of a line to produce polyester film base for roofing №2 at JSC “Mogilevhimvolokno”. The information is provided by the Economy Department of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee.
The forum includes two plenary meetings, four section meetings on bank and financial activity, new opportunities of infrastructure development within the Customs Union, industry, agriculture, innovations and energy efficiency. Mogilev region will be represented by Aleksey Yakovlev (the head of the administration of the FEZ “Mogilev”), Victor Nekrashevich (the deputy chief of Mogilev Regional Administration), and Roman Brodov (the deputy chief of the Economy Department).
Aleksey Yakovlev will hold negotiations with overseas participants of the forum who are interested in information of business conditions of the FEZ “Mogilev”. The section “New opportunities of infrastructure development within the Customs Union” Mogilev region’s stand will introduce its investment potential.
Two more investment projects of Mogilev region are to be proposed at the forum: Bobruisk transport and logistic centre and ceramic brick production based on berg meal in Khotimsk district. The latter is of great importance since it is included in the Program of small settlements development.
Deposit of berg meal in Khotimsk district was discovered by archeologists in the 1930-s. Now it is one of the biggest deposits on the territory of the CIS. Only explored stock of raw material makes 30 mln tons. Berg meal can be used in brick production, as addition to cement and fire fighting mixture, fodder, mineral fertilizers.
According to Roman Brodov, berg meal is new material fore construction business in Belarus and former soviet countries. It is very valuable construction material which can be used in different spheres of economy. New production will contribute to Khotimsk district development as well.
The Belarusian Investment Forum in Frankfurt am Main takes place on November, 17 within the frame of the European Financial Week in Germany.
