A golden Dutch ducat of the mid XVII century to show at “Rytsarsky Fest”

A rare coin dated by 1652 was found during the archaeological excavations in Mstislavl by an archaeologist, Candidate of History Oleg Trusov on the territory of the Karmelitsky Catholic church in the 1980s.

The Mstislavl district history and archeology museum has not got a safe premise to keep and exhibit such valuable items. That’s why the coin is kept at the bank of Mstislavl. On special occasions the coin escorted by security officers is shown to the public.
