Mogilev Region showed fairly good economic performance in 2007, with a considerable increase in output and rise in investments in all major industries, Governor Boris Batura told the regional administration on Friday.
He added, though, that the region failed to reach sugar beets, flax fibre n milk production targets, as well as exceeded some import quotas.
Many rural districts of Mogilev Region failed to hit their production targets, too, the governor added.
In addition, 42 companies based in Mogilev Region reduced their yearly output. The governor demanded, that the local authorities pay more attention to social and economic targets of the region and ensure their fulfilment.
