Granny's Jar Joint Stock Company (Babushkina Krynka, Mogilev) won the title of the best milk-processing company of Mogilev Region in January-September 2007, Director General of the regional association of meat and dairy producers (Myasomolprom) Vasily Romanov told Interfax.
According to the source, the company has shown exceptional economic performance this year.
According to the economy department of Granny's Jar, in January-September 2007 the company produced BYR 107 billion worth of goods, or 15.8% up on the year. Exports totalled $41.2 million, or 70% up on the year, the source reported. Non-CIS states accounted for 16% of the company's exports in January-September.
According to the company's economy department, At the moment, the company offers 250 kinds of dairy products, including 190 produced under Babushkina Krynka brand (named the best brand of 2004 in its category). That includes 20 kinds of chocolate-grazed cheesy curds under the Merry Grandchildren brand, while products under Life Energy brand are spiced with Bifidobacteria.
Products by Granny's Jar as well as the entire production cycle complies with international quality management standards.
The company runs an integrated management system that includes an ISO 14000 environment management system, an HACCP quality control system and an STB 18001 labour security system.
The company's closed cycle production technologies fully meet ISO 9001-2001 standards.
Granny's Jar (formerly known as Mogilev Dairy Factory) was founded in 1975. It was incorporated in 1995. At the moment, the company employs 1,100 people.
