Growth rates of industrial production in Mogilev region makes up 95.9% for January-June of 2009 (compared to the respective period of 2008), - chairman of Mogilev regional executive committee Peter Rudnick told today at the sitting of the committee.
To minimize the consequences of the world economic crisis Mogilev region has been carrying out regional plan on stable economic development approved by the Government. Though, the rates of industrial production of the year 2008 still haven’t been reached, making up 95.9%. In January, 2009 this rate made up 92.7%, in January – March, 2009 – 94.9%.
Peter Rudnick noted that Mogilev region has been fulfilling President’s assignment on not increasing ready made commodity in stocks; situation has become stable for the last 2 months.
One of the most important indices is housing construction and commissioning. The region has the highest figures in the Republic: in the first 6 months it commissioned 137.6% compared to that of the 2008; it stands for 327.6 thous m2 making 56.5% of the planned in 2009.
