Bobruisk-based Syabar Brewing Company is planning to carry out five modernization projects with the help of Heineken, a company representative told Interfax.
In particular, the company is going to restore the Bobruisk-based brewing shop installing Huppman equipment (Germany) and commission another bottling line (plastic bottles). The bottling equipment will be imported from Germany, too (KHS company).
Syabar offers beer under Bobrov brand, which comes in three kinds: Bobrov Light, Bobrov Heavy, Bobrov Classical. The beers are available in glass and PAT bottles with ranging capacity 0.5-2 litres. Besides, the company makes two kinds of beer under Syabar brand: Original and Light. According to the Belarusian Food Industry Concern (Belgospischeprom), the company controls 11.9% of the national beer market.
In January 2008 Syabar produced 306,000 decalitres of beer.
In 2008 the company's production capacity is expected to reach 17 million decalitres, and 20 million decalitres in 2009.
Syabar Brewery CJSC JV (previously known as Belarusian Brewery CJSC JV) was registered in February 2004. In December 2007 Heineken N.V. announced the acquisition of the Cypriot holding company of the Syabar Brewery.
