In Mogilev region 94.3% village citizens to the total number of country dwellers got home service. The information is provided by Svetlana Tarasenko, the chief of the Labour, Employment and Social Security Committee of Mogilev Regional Administration.
According to her, elderly and lonely citizens get food, household and leisure assistance provided by social workers. A range of services includes food and medicines buying and delivering, water provision, fire lightering, bills paying, cooking, washing, caring, house repairing and clothes mending. Social Security Offices provide ritual and transport services, loading services, gyms and hair dresser’s shops.
In rural areas citizens get assistance with smallholdings (digging-up, sowing, weeding, watering, harvesting, wood bucking, wood splitting, stove repairing, wirework, chimney sweeping, haying).
The number of citizens who are in need of home service is constantly growing. By July, 1 2010 Mogilev region registered 10,359 aged people and invalids. Over 6 months 2010 418 citizens established their wish to use assistance of social workers.
