Kazakhstan is interested in activization of inter-regional cooperation with Mogilev region. The information was announced at the meeting of Petr Rudnik, the head of Mogilev regional executive committee, and Ergali Bulegenov.
Almaty region takes the first place in trade turnover of Mogilev region with Kazakhstan (36.5% or $36.8 m). Mogilev regional executive committee signed the cooperation agreement with Eastern Kazakhstan region (2009) and Southern Kazakhstan region (2003). The cooperation with Eastern Kazakhstan region involves the enterprises producing agriculture equipment – JSC “Bobruiskagromash” and RUE “Bobruisk plant of tractor parts and units”. Ergali Bulegenov promised Petr Rudnik to send the delegation of this region to upgrade cooperation questions.
In January-September 2013 foreign trade turnover of Mogilev region with Kazakhstan made $100.8 m. Belarusian export made $99.1 m. The goods of JSC “Belshina”, JSC “Mogotex”, JSC “Bobruisk machine-building plant”, RPUP “Mogilev Strommashina Plant”, JSC “Osipovichi dairy plant”, JSC “Bykhovmoloko”, KUP “Legpromrazvitiye”, SOOO “Jokey-Plastic”, SOOO “Stl-Eksruzia”, “Granny’s Jar” Holding are exported to Kazakhstan. The main products are tyres (50% in export structure), food (13%), and harvesting machines (10%).
According to Ergali Bulegenov, Kazakhstan’s consumers like the quality of Belarusian goods; cooperation with producers is based on understanding and trust. “At the same time Mogilev region has more prospects for Kazakhstan’s businessmen to consider”.
In his turn, Petr Rudnik suggested preparing a list of small and large enterprises of Kazakhstan that are ready to cooperate with Mogilev region and vice versa. “It is going to be a kind of a roadmap to complement the plan for 2014-2016 in its part of the economic cooperation between two countries,” – the governor said. He suggested the ambassador to consider the possibility of investments in creating an aircraft and cargo hab on the basis of the airport “Mogilev”. This project will contribute to growth of the mutual trade turnover.
