Kirovsk to start production of paving tiles made of polymeric film wastes

Kirovsk communal utilities services are about to start production of paving tiles, kerbstone and sewer manholes made of polymeric film wastes and ordinary river sand. New polymeric and sand production facilities were installed in the premises of the former boiler house. The equipment cost made Br1 billion. At the moment the starting-up and adjustment is in process.

Anatoly Stepanovich, deputy director of Kirovsk communal utilities services, says that the production capacity of the line makes 100 kilos an hour. According to him, the trial lot has already been produced. In the near future the enterprise is getting ready with the papers to get quality certification to use and sell the products.

When certification process is over the enterprise will use the products to beautify out-housing areas. The paving tiles produced in this way can easily be painted into any colour.

There is one more advantage of the goods. Polymeric and sand manholes are of no interest for criminals searching for metal goods. So, hopefully the theft problem will also be solved.
