The plants employing the disabled should have certain preferences, Deputy Prime Minister Natalia Kochanova told during her working visit to Mogilev region.
First Natalia Kochanova visited "Metiz" Unitary Enterprise, where about 50% of employees are people with hearing disabilities. Such enterprises need state backing, Deputy Prime Minister assured. At present they have certain preferences, but face problems with product diversification and entering new markets. And this is where the state and local authorities must lend their shoulder. In particular, it means assistance with holding tenders and auctions.
"In today's difficult economic situation our enterprises should continue working, produce goods in demand and try to enter new markets. It will guarantee any citizen of our country the right for labour provided by the Constitution.
During her talk with the plant's staff the Vice Premier was asked a number of questions concerning healthcare, medical services, working conditions, etc. The majority of problems will be solved at the local level; some matters will be controlled by Natalia Kochanova herself.
The Vice Premier will also visit "Dubrovenka" recreation camp (Mogilev district), the construction site of Ice Palace in Shklov, the site where major festivities of "Alexandria gathers friends" festival will be held.
