Bobruisk-based Krasny Pischevik OJSC increased the output of custom-packed confectionery goods by 8.5% on the year in January-October 2007, a company representative told Interfax.
According to the source, custom-packed confectionery goods sell better as their looks appeal to the customer. These goods account for 40% of the total output of the company, the source added.
To further raise the output of custom-packed goods, the company has bought several pieces of packing equipment made in Russia and Italy (BYR 370 million).
Krasny Pischevik makes over 120 kinds of confectionery, including marmalade, drops, chocolates and halvah.
This January-October the company put out BYR 40.85 billion worth of goods, or 6.4% up on the year (11,700 tonnes). Krasny Pischevik exports confectionery goods to Russia, the Baltic States, Israel, Germany and the USA. Exports account for 20% of the output.
The company was founded in 1870. It was incorporated in 1994.
