Krichev (Mogilev Region) is almost through restoring the old palace built by Russian prince Grigory Potyomkin in the middle of the 18th century.
The restoration works are to complete in December 2007, Vice Governor of Krichev District Sergei Morozov told Interfax.
Besides heavily investing in the interior of the palace, they carry out land accomplishment projects, with 350 trees planted in the park around the palace site.
In Q1 2007 alone they invested over BYR 1 billion in the palace restoration project.
After the restoration works are completed, the palace will be home to a local history museum and a civil registry office.
