Belarusian unitary enterprise Krichevtsementoshifer has commissioned another cement-making furnace, chief engineer Alexander Borovikov told Interfax.
The new furnace will make 1,700 tonnes of clinker daily. It is expected to boost the company's annual cement output by 500,000 tonnes.
In January-February 2008 the company invested BYR 9.4 billion in upgrading, the source specified.
This January-February Krichevtsementnoshifer produced 168,600 tonnes of cement, or 4.1% up on the year, a company representative told Interfax.
High-quality cement production made 86.6% of the overall cement output (М500ДО, М500Д20 types).
The company produced 17,500 tons of cement packed in sacks (25, 50, 1,000 kg), a 20% increase on the year.
Krichevtsementnoshifer also produced 4.1 million equivalent roofing slates.
Cement accounted for 93.2% of the total output of the company.
In January-February 2008 the company turned out BYR 24.6 billion worth of goods, or 8.6% up on the year. Domestic sales grew 15.2%.
