Belarusian unitary enterprise Krichevtsementoshifer increased the output of cement by 15.2% on the year in January-June 2008 to 639,100 tonnes, a company representative told Interfax.
The company produced 97,400 tonnes of cement packed in sacks (25, 50, 1,000 kg), a 9.4% increase on the year.
High-quality cement production made 86% of the overall cement output (М500ДО, М500Д20 types).
Cement accounted for 86.7% of the overall output of the company. All of it was sold on the domestic market.
The output of roofing slates grew 27.6% on the year to 45.8 million equivalent units. 10 million roofing slates was exported to the Russian Federation (6 times up), the source added.
In H1 2008 the company invested BYR 18.5 billion in fixed capital. Over the period in question Krichevtsementnoshifer produced BYR 136 billion worth of goods, or 17% up on the year.
