Belarusian unitary enterprise Krichevtsementoshifer increased the output of cement by 12.9% on the year in January-April 2008 to 393,600 tonnes, a company representative told Interfax.
The output of roofing slates grew 21.8% on the year to 21.2 million equivalent units. 4.3 million roofing slates was exported to the Russian Federation (5 times up), the source added.
High-quality cement production made 87.4% of the overall cement output (М500ДО, М500Д20 types).
The company produced 56,500 tons of cement packed in sacks (25, 50, 1,000 kg), a 20.3% increase on the year.
Cement accounted for 88.3% of the overall output of the company. All of it was sold on the domestic market.
As of May 1, the ready goods stock was 19% against the limit of 20%.
In January-April 2008 the company invested BYR 11.6 billion in fixed capital. Over the period in question Krichevtsementnoshifer produced BYR 71.6 billion worth of goods, or 14.5% up on the year.
The source reminded, that earlier this year Krichevtsementnoshifer commissioned another furnace that is expected to make 1,700 tonnes of clinker daily. It is expected to boost the company's annual cement output by 500,000 tonnes.
