Belarusian unitary enterprise Krichevtsementoshifer increased the output of roofing slates by 41% on the year in Q1 2008 to 12.7 million equivalent units, a company representative told Interfax.
2.4 million roofing slates was exported to the Russian Federation, the source added.
Over the period in question the company put out 289,300 tonnes of cement, or 15.3% up.
High-quality cement production made 90% of the overall cement output (М500ДО, М500Д20 types).
The company produced 35,000 tons of cement packed in sacks (25, 50, 1,000 kg), a 21.2% increase on the year.
Domestic sales of cement rose by 15.7% on the year in Q1 to reach 277,300 tonnes.
In January-March the company invested BYR 9.7 billion in fixed capital. The source reminded, that earlier this year Krichevtsementnoshifer commissioned another furnace that is expected to make 1,700 tonnes of clinker daily. It is expected to boost the company's annual cement output by 500,000 tonnes.
This January-March cement accounted for 89% of the company's total output.
In January-March 2008 the company turned out BYR 44.7 billion worth of goods, or 18.4% up on the year.
