Krovlya Belarusian-British joint venture (based in Ossipovichi) increased the export of roofing materials by 80% in 2008 to a total of $7.7 million, a company representative told Interfax-West.
Exports to the CIS grew 5.3-fold, Russia - 2.4-fold, non-CIS states - 1.4-fold.
Last year the company made BYR 101 billion worth of goods, or 17.1% up on the year.
The source attributes the growth to the installation of a new production line with a monthly capacity of 1.5 million square meters of roofing materials.
Krovlya, one of the CIS largest manufacturers producer of contemporary standard roofing materials, produces over 30 kinds of soft roofing and hydroisolation materials.
Over 90% of the roofing materials produced are marketed locally, while the rest is exported to Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, the Baltic States, Germany, Czechia, Hungary and Slovakia. The company's quality management system meets the requirements of ISO 9001-2001.
