Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko and chairman of Mogilev region executive committee Vladimir Domanevsky signed an agreement on interregional cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, social and cultural fileds.
The head of Leningrad region reminded about several examples of cooperation in economics, agriculture, humanitarian sphere, etc.
Vladimir Domanevsky assured that Belarus does appreciate friendship and good relations with citizens of Leningrad region and Russia in general. The agreement should further promote cooperation in the fields of culture, education, sport, science, in accordance with the main trends of youth policies of Russia and Belarus.
Goods turnover between the two regions has been on the rise, the governor stressed, and added that Mogilev region's ties with other regions of Russia rest on the principles of partnership and cooperation, especially - in the field of industry.
The parties stressed the need for strengthening business relations and preserving the memory of the heroic deeds of our ancestors in the Great Patriotic War.
