Lithuanian investors are realizing 6 different projects in Mogilev. The information is provided by the Department for External Economic Relations, Investments and Business Development of Mogilev City Executive Committee.
New foreign investments for EUR76 bln are to be attracted into construction of a modern wood processing complex. One of the largest wood exporters in Baltic countries is realizing the project on the territory of 26 hectares of FEZ “Mogilev”. The project supposes to launch a new wood processing enterprise in a year and a half. The enterprise will create 870 jobs. The construction is to start at the end of 2010.
Today Free Economic Zone “Mogilev” has got 20 enterprises based on full or partial foreign investments. The share of Lithuanian partners is dominating in the region.
Foreign investors are attracted by a number of economic factors: tax benefits, absence of duties on raw materials and equipment exports. Over the last four yeas only in Mogilev investments into basic capital made a three-time increase.
